Springfield 1903 - The Gun Vault #22 - Cody Firearms Museum
Modeled after the 1893 Mauser following the Spanish-American War, the 1903 Springfield bolt-action rifle saw military service from WWI into the early stages of the Vietnam War. While bolt-action rifles date as far back as the early 19th century, modern bolt guns are primarily used as hunting rifles.
